Profile policy due to identity theft and impersonation of chess players
If you have the need to declare chess credentials on your profile you will need to have site administration approve your Bio.
Sharing Online Personal Information
Think before you post any personal information online – your name, your address, email address or mobile number.
Do not post or share other people's personal information on chat or private chat — this will surely get you banned from the site.
Think carefully before posting pictures or videos of yourself. Once you’ve put a picture of yourself online most people can see it and may be able to download it. It’s not just yours anymore.
Post only about others as you have them post about you.
Do not give out personal details to strangers.
Stay safe online — it's up to your discretion what you share online, it's up to you to keep your self safe.
Sportsmanship and Etiquette
Online or on the board Sportsmanship is one of the life skills that can be enhanced through chess including how to deal gracefully with difficult situations and loss.
Be polite — don’t boast, belittle, denigrate, derogate, diminish, or try to intimidate your opponent.
If you wish to offer a draw, wait for your turn to move and click REQUEST DRAW.
Don’t be annoying — don't ask for a draw repeatedly.
Don’t argue with your opponent.
Don’t give or ask for advice.
Don't discuss your game in progress with anyone — do not discuss active games in public or private chats.
Don't rush your opponent — if you signed up for a 1 day per move game or longer be considerate that the other player has that time to move.
After your game, be a good winner or loser.
